Interesting Backgroundinfo

The Bauhaus was found in 1919 by Walter Gropius in Weimar, Germany, as an Art-School. One of the aims was to combine art and handicradt, another to develope a design for industrial production. A credo was "form follows function". The school moved in the next years to diverend cities and was closes allready in 1933 by the NSDAP. Even Bauhaus existed just 14 years it is the base for all modern western design in Architecture, Art and handicraft in the 20th Century. The influence of Bauhaus remains still today and is visible in all modern Styles.

The following chines article in Wikipedia focus too much to architecture. Once more, the main ideas of bauhaus  is visible also in furniture, lamps, drinking glasses, dishware and so on.

We want to introduce european Design-Glass to chinese people.

China has a really great history and Chinese people developed a lot of stunning handicrafts in different materials. Just the material glass has no big importance in the pass and so might it be possible that people would like to see whateuropean designer and craftman managed with this material.

Our focus is on glass from 1930 to 1970, Especially the decades 1950, 1960 and 1970.

This is a time, in that chinese poeple had a lot of other problems than to care about design Glass. But the times got better and maybe in the meantime there is a group of people who are interested in western Design.

Targetgroups

Our main target group are people which want to use our glasses, vases, bowls and so on in their daily life. Allready one peace can be a great eyechatcher on a modern table as well on an antique chinese sidebord.

Of course also collectors are wellcome and a lot of our items are worth to collect them.
